This page exists to remove uncertainty from a single decision: whether to begin. It explains who the Business Diagnosis is for, who it is not for, what happens after the Free IBI, what you receive, what it costs, and what follows. Nothing here is hidden, and nothing requires commitment to read.
Every path with Catwalk starts with the Free IBI, a ten-minute self-assessment at no cost. That includes the Business Diagnosis.

Investment, stated plainly.
Catwalk does not charge based on company size. The methodology stays the same. The scope changes with the complexity of the business.
Every owner begins with the Free IBI. If the Business Diagnosis is the right next step, it is scoped on its own. The Executive Blueprint is available after the Executive Brief, when the findings support a Blueprint. Larger or more complex businesses may require an expanded scope. The right scope depends on the complexity of your business, and Catwalk will determine it honestly during the fit conversation.
Every business is different. The methodology remains consistent, while the scope of each engagement is tailored to the complexity of your business. Pricing reflects the complexity of the work, not simply the amount of it performed.
The Business Diagnosis is built for owners who want to understand before they decide.
It is most valuable for owners who sense that their marketing performance is shaped by more than the campaign in front of them, and who would rather understand the whole picture than act on the most visible part of it. It serves owners facing a consequential decision who want clarity before direction, and who are willing to look at evidence even when the evidence is inconvenient.
It is not the right first step for everyone.
Some needs are better met elsewhere. If you are looking only for campaign execution, the Business Diagnosis is not the right place to begin. If you have already decided what to change and simply need it delivered, a diagnosis will not serve you. And if you need an answer this week, the disciplined pace of the work will not fit your timeline. If you need senior help this week, Fractional Leadership may be the better fit. Experienced leadership is in place within days of starting, and the full Business Diagnosis runs alongside it. None of this is a judgment. It is simply honesty about where the Diagnosis helps and where it does not.
If the Business Diagnosis is not the right first step for you, Catwalk will say so. That is part of the engagement, not a barrier to it.
A clear sequence, with no surprises.
From the moment you start the Free IBI, every step is predictable. You will always know what is happening, what comes next, and why.
A disciplined examination of the business and marketing conditions behind your results.
The Business Diagnosis gathers evidence from inside and outside the business: an intake conversation, an interview, and research into the business, customer, market, marketing, and commercial conditions affecting performance. That evidence becomes findings, the findings explain what is most likely driving performance and how strong the evidence is, and the work concludes with the Executive Brief.
Business Diagnosis timeline: usually two to three weeks after intake. If the scope or available evidence requires more time, Catwalk will confirm that with you before the work proceeds.
What leadership receives.
The Diagnosis ends with understanding. What follows is yours to decide.
Every recommendation that follows the Business Diagnosis is grounded in the evidence gathered during it. Nothing is predetermined. Depending on what the findings reveal, the path forward may take one of several forms.
- Some owners need only the clarity the Diagnosis provides, and proceed on their own.
- Some benefit from the Executive Blueprint, to organize their priorities into a structured plan.
- Some are better served by additional work before acting.
- Where the findings call for sustained guidance, ongoing advisory support or fractional leadership may be recommended. Support scales to what the organization needs, not to its size.
Ongoing guidance is never a default, never a subscription presented in advance, and never assumed. It is recommended only when the evidence supports it. Like everything in the methodology, it is earned by the findings, not by the offer.
What Catwalk recommends is determined by evidence, never by a product it hopes to sell.
Some owners need only the Diagnosis. Some benefit from the Executive Blueprint. Others need a different kind of work first. The recommendation follows what the assessment supports and what the business is prepared to act on.
